Maurice Ambroise Ehlinger (1896 - 1981)
Ehlinger studied at eh "Academie des Beaux-Arts de Paris" under the tutelage of the famous artists Francois Flameng and Jules Adler. He regularly exhibited at the "Salon des Artistes Francais" in Paris. He gained fame as a portrait and nude painter and was particularly praised for the rendering of the female forms vigorously drawn. A number of his paintings are on display at the national museum of Fine Arts of Saint-Die in Vosges.
