Biography
1917 - Born in Zürich/Switzerland.
1932 - At the age of 15 he studies at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zürich.
1937 - Teaches at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zürich.
1958 - Works as a designer very successfully in New York.
1960 - Returns to Europe. Uses the studio of Sam Francis in Paris.
1972 - First monograph for his 50th birthday.
1985 - Receives the "Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" from Jack Lang the French minister of culture.
1990 - Inauguration of his "Espaces de l'art Concret" in Mouans-Sartoux/France.
2001 - Becomes a Membre of the "Légion d'honneur" in France.
